The Case

In acquiring this established brand, the new parent company discovered that they had acquired business processes and workflow that were creating a 12-18 month product development cycle, causing them to miss both market trends and deliveries. One of the mandates of the new parent company was a transition from domestic to full-package, offshore sourcing and production, putting even greater pressure and added confusion on already over taxed employees.

The WWA Solution

In a three day WWAssessment, which included an interview with over 20 employees, WWA performed a high level review of current front-end process, capabilities and technology utilization. Findings included the need to hire a digital textile designer/print manager to establish and manage the workflow for the newly purchased digital textile printer, the need to upgrade the software and technical skills of assistant designers, a revised methodology and workflow to develop CAD drawings and storyboards to speed up the product development process and the need for digital asset management tools and processes.
